Flexonal® INHIB is an Inhibitor that slows down reaction time during processing.

Fields of application:

  • Polyurethane Casting Resins

Flexonal® INHIB is an Inhibitor which lowers the reactivity of the mixture and thus extends the processing time. Flexonal® INHIB is ideally suited for our Polyurethane Casting Resins such as Flexonal® PU 4590. By adding 0.1 -1 %, a little more time can be gained for processing. Due to the high reactivity of some polyols, not every system can be delayed arbitrarily; similarly, inhibitors are not suitable for foam systems, as there is a complex interplay between the reaction and the surface tension of the cells; if this is destroyed, the foam collapses.

Keep in mind that if energy is taken from the system for the reaction, it must/should be supplied again in the form of temperature to complete the reaction.
